Програма предназначенна для копирования как обычных, так и защищённых CD дисков. CloneCD работает практически с любым современным CD-RW приводом. Сначала делается копия CD на винчестер (копия представляет собой файл-образ диска). Затем производится запись CD из созданной копии. Интерфейс программы прост и интуитивно понятен. В главном окне расположены всего 4 кнопки, с помощью которых и происходит весь процесс копирования данных. Например, если вам нужно быстро перекопировать музыкальный CD, то вы просто снимаете файл-образ с этого диска, вставляете в пишущий привод пустую болванку и записываете на неё точную копию CD. В этой версии улучшен процесс запуска программы (ранее на некоторых системах могла возникать ошибка, приводившая к зависанию компьютера при старте CloneCD).
